About

When I was 23, I made my first film, got published for the first time, and had my first kid. I’ve had a non-traditional education, life, and career. Amid difficult times and beautiful experiences, I kept moving forward and learned as much as I could. While supporting a family, making short films, and writing scripts and reviews, I taught myself photography. In 2018, I focused my skills on racial justice, working as the Director and Media Manager for The Dialogue Company on a national community and educational project. Now, I’ve launched Project Autodidact to pursue a self-driven film education and skill development, documented online, while continuing to write articles, film, and photograph— all of which can be found here.
