About

When I was 23, 9 years ago, I made my first film, got published for the first time, and had my first kid. Needless to say, I’ve had a non-traditional education, a non-traditional life, and I’m having a non-traditional career. In the midst of hard times and beautiful experiences, I kept myself facing forward and learned everything I could. Between supporting a family, making short films, and writing scripts and reviews, I taught myself photography. In 2018, I bent my artistic skills to pursuing racial justice, working as the Director and Media Manager for The Dialogue Company in a national community and educational project. Now, I’ve launched Project Autodidact to pursue a self-driven film education and skill development, documented online, while I continue to write articles, film, and photograph, all to be found here.
